The Medical Centre for Seamen Amsterdam provides for seamen and inland skippers medical consultations at general practitioner level.

Our practice is equipped as a standard GP practice with some extensive laboratory facilities so consultations can usually be completed within the practice during the time a ship is in the port.

If you want a medical consultation you can come to the consultation hour.

For specialist medical care we usually refer to the Amsterdam OLVG Hospital with which we have a long-term working relationship and is also specially dedicated to the care of seamen.

The practice is also involved in medical advice for seamen at sea via the Radio Medische Dienst (Radio Medical Service) of the KNRM (Royal Dutch Rescue Society).
